I have worked in the Ballroom Dancing industry for over 20 years, having competed internationally in amateur and professional proficiency. My competitive results include but are not limited to:

  • Euro Games Nijmegen 2022, Adult Male International Latin - 1st Place

  • Canadian National Dance Championships 2018, International Latin - 7th place

  • Arthur Murray World Championships 2018, Professional International Latin - 2nd place

  • Arthur Murray World Championships 2018, Professional American Smooth quarterfinalist

  • Niagara Dancesport 2016, Professional American Smooth - 3rd place

  • Canadian National Dance Championships 2010, Amateur Standard Championships top 10

In addition to my continuous efforts in the competitive DanceSport scene, I am diligently working on my teaching qualification to ensure the student is met with the utmost quality of instruction for all levels.

Dance Philosophy:

I have been teaching Ballroom (including International, American and Social/Club styles) for over 15 years, focusing on the development of my students regarding self-improvement, goal setting, competition or social aspirations, general well-being, and knowledge and appreciation of the dance form itself. I believe ballroom dancing is more than just a sport and can help improve one’s life through movement, expression and creativity. Ballroom dancing as a whole has existed for many centuries. It is filled with exciting stories about its development that can help us understand each dance's character. When teaching, I aim to learn about each student’s individual needs, focusing on their strengths and providing exercises to help improve their weaknesses. I believe performing is an integral part of Ballroom as it is needed to help provide an outlet for what the student wants and needs to express. The medium can extend to competitions, showcases or even a video recording of oneself dancing.
